The archery shop I brought it to said they set it to 45 pound pull would that hurt the bow?

Most compound bows have 15 to 20 pound weight adjustment.
If your peak weight is 45 pounds then your bottom weight would either be 25 or 30 pounds.
There should be a Label on the inside of your bottom limb providing the bow's...

The guy was right. They cannot repair the steel cables because they are not made any more.And they are a danger. I was shooting a Martin Cougar bow many years ago and the steel cable broke and the metal teardrop that it attached to came flying around
