I just broke a limb on my Greatree Mohegan 28lb recurve. Can i put any new limbs on it? Like a pse razorback 30lb for instance?
I am not familiar with that brand of recurve. But I can help you with your question. If it is not a take down recurve bow( one with limbs that bolt onto the riser) you cannot replace the broken limb, But if is a take down the limbs can be replaced
A very nice January day at the archery club with a 1970 Bear Minuteman recurve.
I just took off the limbs on my Ragim Wildcat recurve bow, which is held by these knob bolts. I'm a little confuse on how tight they should be when I screw them back. Anyone know?
So will finger tight do?
Since the draw weight on a take down recurve is not adjustable, they should be tightened down completely. Just don't over tighten to the point of striping out the threads or crushing the limb.

HAVE A BROWNING EXPLORER I
RECURVE, FOUND IN ATTIC .SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN USED FOR DEER HUNTING AT BASE OF LIMBS HAIR LINE CRACKS ARE VISIBLE IN CLEAR COAT. IS BOW OK TO USE?
The hairline cracks are most likely caused by age and or use. The bow should be shootable but I feel the string should be replaced first. Not much will happen even if the bow is not usable, unlike a compound which could explode into a few pieces if...
I don't have a string.
Does it lay flat on a table?
Get a string (they're cheap) and check it then, too.
