I am pulling 43 pounds and am starting bow hunting for deer and turkey. Would a fixed blade or mechanical be better and what models? any recommendations would help
I am guessing your kinetic energy is low also. The amount you pull doesn't mean anything. If you are shooting a speed bow you still could be shooting high kinetic energy. What determines that is how heavy the arrow is and how fast the arrow is going.

Fixed blades are absolutely reliable, mechanicals can (rarely) fail to open, but they have (slightly) better flight characteristics, so either one is a trade-off, it depends on what matters most to you.

Savings with mutuals strong in December

December 2010 saw savings with mutuals increase by £1.5 billion, according to new figures.
The Building Society Association (BSA) has revealed that the change represents a second consecutive month of growth, with an increase of £0.6 billion being seen in November 2010.
Head of savings policy at the BSA Brian Morris comments that mutuals ended the year in a strong position, but that growth this year could be "relatively subdued".
Meanwhile, Paul Broadhead, head of mortgage policy at the BSA, says that December's gross lending from mutuals was slightly below November's figures.
"December is typically a quieter month for the mortgage market and a drop in approvals at the end of the year is not uncommon," he states.
Adding that the poor weather towards the end of the year was a contributing factor, Mr Broadhead notes that approvals for the month were a little below expectations.
